The GDVC vertical infestation destroyer – also known as entoleter – is typically used to destroy any insects, their eggs and larvae that may be present in flour.
It is normally used to treat milled products before storage, bagging and/or shipping. The treatment helps preserve the product by preventing the proliferation of insects and pests that could rapidly lead to its deterioration.
The pest elimination process takes place exclusively through mechanical action. The product is accelerated by the centrifugal action of a high-speed rotor and projected against the pins of the rotor itself and the external containment ring. The repeated impacts destroy eggs, larvae and insects present in the product without the use of chemical treatments, while leaving its organoleptic properties unchanged.
The machine is suitable for treating different flour-based products: the rotation speed can be adjusted according to the characteristics of each product, thus adapting the intensity of the treatment to specific requirements.
In the case of cereal grains, the mechanical action also provides surface cleaning of the grains and the breakage of empty kernels.
Thanks to its vertical configuration, the GDVC is designed to be installed directly in a gravity pipe. The product is fed from the top, treated as it passes through the machine and then discharged into the hopper or equipment below.
