GDSA feeders are designed to extract and regulate precise quantities of product. In their standard configuration, they feature an upper container for manual or automatic loading of the material, often equipped with a motorized agitator that keeps the product fluid and ensures proper discharge.
Extraction is carried out by a screw conveyor driven by a gear motor, whose speed determines the dosed quantity. Typically, a frequency inverter is used to adjust the flow rate. The dosing process is volumetric, but for greater precision, the machine can be installed on load cells, allowing for weight-based flow control and automatic adjustment of the extraction speed according to actual needs.
Due to the wide variety of ingredients and dosing quantities, feeders are manufactured in different sizes and configurations. For products with poor flowability, a double extraction screw may be required.
