The air separator removes lighter impurities from cereals using an air stream, eliminating empty kernels, straw, dust, and other residues, while the good product falls by gravity.
There are two versions:
Linear air separator GTVA, typically installed downstream of a rotary separator or a vibrating separator, has a rectangular shape. The incoming product is distributed across its entire width either by the upstream machine or via a vibrating feeder. An air stream passes through the product and carries it to the suction diffuser, which can be adjusted using transparent baffles. The capacity depends on the machine’s width.
Circular air separator GTTC, composed of two truncated cones with plexiglass windows for process monitoring. The product enters the upper section, where a fan distributes it into the lower cone, creating an air vortex that separates the lighter impurities.
For high capacities, the motorized circular air separator is used, where the distribution fan is driven by a gear motor via belts. The machine’s size varies according to the required processing capacity.
